Let Blue Hill Decide: A Petition for Regulated Cannabis
This citizen petition gives Blue Hill voters the direct choice to "opt-in" for state-licensed cannabis sales by placing the issue on the Town Meeting warrant. The measure would allow for state-licensed stores while directing the town to develop its own ordinance for strong local oversight, ensuring this decision is made by and for the people of Blue Hill.
We’re gathering signatures for a citizens’ petition to bring a recreational cannabis retail ordinance to the ballot — giving Blue Hill residents the chance to decide together.
How does Blue Hill benefit?
Legal cannabis is tested for potency and contaminants, providing transparency for adult consumers.
Maine's cannabis industry generated $38.6 million in tax revenue in 2024, contributing directly to community resources like roads and schools.
Research shows that the presence of local, legal dispensaries is associated with a reduction in illegal opioid use.
Skip those long drive and enjoy the convenience of local access to legal cannabis.
